1 / 5Al Majaz Water Fountain
📍 Sharjah
Synchronized dancing fountain with laser technology, multi-colour water jets reaching 100 metres, and classical music accompaniment. Free to watch from the waterfront promenade with café options nearby.
Visiting the Al Majaz Dancing Fountain at the waterfront was a really enjoyable experience. The fountain shows are impressive, with the colors changing beautifully across the water and creating a special atmosphere, especially when watching from the walking track or the nearby seating areas. The view is even nicer in the evening as the lights and water movements shift in harmony and reflect across the lagoon. Personally, I would love it even more if the shows were performed using human vocals or voice tracks without music, as that would make the experience quieter and more comfortable for families and visitors who prefer a calm environment. Overall, the fountain remains one of the most iconic and memorable attractions at Al Majaz Waterfront.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families wanting a free, visually impressive evening out without Dubai-level crowds. Children respond strongly to the multi-colour water and laser display. Shows are short at around five minutes each, so plan to stay for multiple performances and combine with a waterfront walk or nearby dining.

“Really good water show! We liked that it is colourful, not just one colour like the fountains in Dubai and the music is very nice, mostly classic. Also there are very few people, which gives you an opportunity to see the show in the front row. Keep in mind that each show is quite short, around 5 minutes.”

Overview
Al Majaz Dancing Fountain fires water up to 100 metres using a sound and laser system that choreographs each show to classical and contemporary music. Each performance runs approximately five minutes. The waterfront setting draws far fewer crowds than Dubai's equivalent fountains, giving families front-row views from the walking promenade. Colour changes across the water surface are a specific highlight reviewers mention over single-tone alternatives.
