This was a moment that will stay with us forever and fantastic afternoon and evening in the desert. We got picked up from our hotel and went in a 4x4 drive in the desert driving in the sand was amazing, then we spent time at the camp on a camel ride and watched the sun set before the BBQ food and drinks and show. truly unforgettable.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children old enough to handle the physical demands of dune bashing β typically 5 and above. The camp's range of activities means energy levels across age groups are accommodated. Overnight tent stays add genuine adventure for older children.

βAn unforgettable desert experience at Bassata Camping & Jeep Safari (Ras Al Khaimah) My experience with Bassata Camping and the jeep safari in Ras Al Khaimah was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Everything was extremely well organized, smooth, and exceeded all my expectations. A very special thanks goes to my driver, Mohammad, who truly made this experience outstanding. He arrived exactly on time, was incredibly polite, professional, and genuinely kind. Throughout the entire journey, he was the most helpful, attentive, and reassuring driver you could ask for. His driving skills during the desert safari were excellent β thrilling yet always safe β and he constantly made sure I was comfortable and enjoying every moment. The camp itself was beautiful, authentic, clean, and welcoming. The atmosphere, the setup, and the overall experience felt very well thought out and high quality. I truly felt taken care of from beginning to end, and traveling alone, this level of attention and kindness meant a lot to me. I couldnβt have asked for a better desert safari or a better driver. Highly recommended β especially if youβre lucky enough to have Mohammad as your driver. An experience I will definitely remember and gladly repeat! πποΈπβ

βForget choosingβthis safari gives you the best of everything! The experience kicked off with Dune Bashing in the 4x4, followed immediately by taking control of the 4-Seater Dune Buggy. Both were pure adrenaline rushes. Content Tip: The drivers are excellent at timing your stop to capture the perfect Sunset Filming footage over the high dunesβdon't miss the shot! After the adventure, the authentic Bedouin camp life begins: Activities: Included Sandboarding and Camel Riding photos. Dinner & Show: Excellent BBQ Buffet Dinner served under the stars, accompanied by fantastic live shows (Tanoura, Belly Dancing, Fire Show). Perfect organization, great service, and an unforgettable day of high-octane fun and cultural immersion. Highly recommended for groups!β

βThis was my second experience in the desert and the first to bring me far into it. The camp has so many activities, including camel-riding, going in dune buggies and quad biking. The sunset was absolutely beautiful and was in sight. The little greenery around the camp made it feel that much more alive, and my younger cousins had a fun time here too. However, one of the camels were tired and kept stopping during the paid camel ride. I felt that they were not treated well, as they had to let tourists ride on them without many breaks. And the ice cream and alcohol has to be paid for, while many other things were complementary, such as soft drinks, henna art, and a short camel ride. I thought that this was strange and that they were overpriced compared to regular ice creams.β
