Is this your venue? Claim this listing โ
A Mirdif ice rink built around proper hockey coaching rather than open skating, where the emphasis sits on skills, discipline and accountability on the ice.
๐ Family Action Verdict
This suits families who want structured ice hockey training rather than casual skating, from young children to adults and including girls and women. With only a handful of written reviews so far, the picture is positive but thin, so treat it as promising rather than proven and visit to judge the fit for your own child.

โGalaxy Hockey Academy is transforming the sports community in Dubai and the UAE by instilling core values that demand truth, personal sacrifice and accountability. Attentive professional coaches demonstrate and teach the necessary skills to compete at each individuals highest level and contribute to and be accountable to the team. The ice facilities are excellent and designed specifically for the needs of the club. Coaches and players also push themselves hard in targeted exercises off of the ice to improve power, balance, speed and shooting using specialized equipment and spaces. Don't know how to skate? Galaxy will teach you. 3 years or 50 years old. You don't have hockey equipment? Galaxy has a shop with an excellent selection of gear for beginners up to professionals and the staff have great product knowledge and competitive prices. Are you a lady or a girl? Welcome! Galaxy has hockey for everyone. UAE has long had recreational ice hockey for kids and adults but now with the creation of Galaxy Hockey Academy you can train for more. Train with focus and efficiency. Galaxy Hockey is about relationships too. Events are frequently organized outside training times to give members opportunities to build on friendships we have established during trainings and games. 5 Stars!โ

Overview
Behind the academy ethos is a straightforward setup: an indoor rink in Mirdif with a car park and pram access, and coaches the hockey families single out by name for how they work with skaters. The focus leans towards structured drills and core values like accountability over casual laps, so expect development sessions rather than drop-in gliding.
