1 / 3Mandara Equestrian Club
π Al Bahyah, Abu Dhabi
Family-run equestrian club with indoor and outdoor arenas, certified trainers for all skill levels, air-conditioned stables, on-site equipment shop, and a farm-to-fork cafe overlooking the training areas.
Beautiful stable 1 hour drive from Dubai towards Abu Dhabi. You can visit the stables and see the horses but also take riding lessons. You can buy equipment on site and are at very reasonable prices. There is a coffee shop where you can sit and enjoy delicious smoothies, coffee and food. What's special about the stable is that a very kind hearted woman by the name of Yasmine is keeping some rescue horses and gives riding lessons and also teaches people how to treat horses. She saves these horses from polo clubs or people who just want to get rid of them and sometimes she pays money for them just to rescue them. She then educates people on how to treat these gorgeous animals. It's really worth a chat with this absolutely amazing woman and learn about her horse rescuing efforts.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a structured, professionally supervised first horse riding experience for children, or for existing riders seeking certified training outside the city. The cafe's arena-facing position means non-riding family members stay connected to the session.

Overview
Mandara Equestrian Club sits roughly one hour from Dubai on the Abu Dhabi road, operating both indoor and outdoor arenas for year-round lessons regardless of temperature. Certified trainers run sessions for children and adults from complete beginners through to advanced riders. The stables are air-conditioned, a practical consideration during UAE summers. Many of the horses are rescues, which adds a welfare education dimension to visits with children.
