Mushrif Park's public swimming pools are among Dubai's most affordable places for a family swim. There are two covered pools, one for ladies and one for men, and boys aged six and over must use the men's pool, so a family will usually split between the two rather than swimming together. The water is kept clear and clean, with lifeguards on duty throughout sessions, and lockers and changing rooms on site. Pool depth runs from 1.5m to a 3.5m deep end, which suits confident swimmers better than very young non-swimmers. Nylon swim shorts are required (cotton shorts are not permitted), and both shorts and life jackets can be rented at the entrance. The pools are open 9am to 9pm daily; pool entry is paid separately from park admission, both by Nol card at the gate.
