1 / 2Sharjah Archaeology Museum
π Al Abar, Sharjah
Covers Stone Age through Islamic period with well-labeled artifacts and an interactive children's zone featuring treasure digging and brick-building. Free entry for visitors over 60 and children under 2.
βββββ A very nice experience at the Sharjah Archaeological Museum. We were expecting to pay for the entrance for 4 people, but since we were visiting with two parents over 60 years old, the staff informed us that the entry was free, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The welcome was warm and the staff were very kind and professional. The visit was pleasant and informative, with many interesting insights into the history of stones, ancient civilizations, and the people who discovered them. On our way out, a staff member kindly offered us Arabic coffee and LaBelle chocolate, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. We visited as a family of four and felt truly well received. A well-organized, welcoming, and enriching museum. Highly recommended.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age children who engage with hands-on learning rather than passive display viewing. The dig and build zone holds attention for children aged 4β10. Toddlers are welcome and entry is free for under-2s. Older kids and adults with an interest in regional history will find the artifact sequencing genuinely informative.

Everything is well-maintained, and the descriptions are easy to understand. The staff is polite, and the environment is calm and educational. A perfect museum for both adults and children.β
