1 / 4Umm Al Emarat Park
π Al Mushrif, Abu Dhabi
Ticketed family park in Al Mushrif featuring multiple playgrounds, an animal barn with goats, rabbits, camels, tortoises, and Arabian Oryx, mini train rides, a botanic garden, and an observation deck.
Umm Al Emarat Park is, in my opinion, the best park in the UAE. The park is named in honor of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the "Mother of the Nation," recognizing her foundational role in the community. The Wisdom Garden features the foundational words of Sheikh Zayed on topics like "Education and Economic Development" and "Gender Issues," adding an important reflective layer to the visit. The park is a lush green space, with sophisticated landscape design. I particularly enjoyed the mature date palms and specialized desert and flowers gardens. Also, it is perfect for family activities, including a lively falcon sunset show, animal stables (with Arabian Oryx and camels), and a popular small train for children. Getting a photo with the owl was a great memory! I highly recommend visiting this park to appreciate its design, its commitment to heritage, its family offerings, and its tribute to the nationβs visionary leaders.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of all ages wanting a full-day park visit beyond standard playgrounds. The animal barn and mini train hold toddler attention specifically. The Friday and Saturday street vendor market rewards a weekend visit. Budget extra time β most families underestimate how long a full visit takes.

βI absolutely loved my visit to Umm Al Emarat Park, itβs one of the most beautifully designed and family-friendly green spaces in central Abu Dhabi. The park blends lush landscaped gardens, open lawns, and fascinating attractions like the Animal Barn, Botanic Garden, and interactive play areas for kids that kept everyone entertained all day long, it feels both peaceful and fun at the same time. The Shade House offers stunning views over the park and the evening garden is perfect for a quiet stroll as the sun sets. I also appreciated the community events and relaxed atmosphere that make it more than just a park but a real place to connect with nature and culture in the city. Ticket prices are very reasonable for what you get, and you can easily spend hours exploring every corner. Highly recommend it if youβre looking for outdoor time with family or friends in Abu Dhabi β great balance of recreation, relaxation, and beauty.β

βWonderful park! Fun on a Friday night and much more than I expected compared to parks in USA. So clean, and organized and easy to walk around. Beautiful trees and plants and grass. I love all the culture and tolerance theme. Definitely a must-see for exposure to nature in this busy crowded city!β

βI visited a lot of parks, but Umm Al Emarat Park, has a kind of different (good) atmosphere. After buying my ticket and arranging my camera permit I was able to enjoy this park. Especially the Wisdom Garden is very special. It's a kind of place of meditation as well. The park is not very big, but absolutely worth the visit and I will be definitely come back!β

Overview
Umm Al Emarat Park packs multiple distinct attractions into a single site: several playground zones, a hands-on animal barn where children encounter goats, rabbits, camels, tortoises, and Arabian Oryx, a mini train touring the park, a botanic garden, a two-level observation deck, and open lawn space for picnics. Street food vendors operate on Fridays and Saturdays. Named in honour of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the park integrates a Wisdom Garden with Sheikh Zayed's foundational words.
