The Jebel Jais Viewing Deck Park offers breathtaking panoramic views of the rugged Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Gulf from 1,250 meters above sea level. The drive up is scenic and rewarding. The park features multiple landscaped terraces, ample shade, and binoculars for a better look at the stunning landscape. Amenities like cafes and clean restrooms make it a comfortable stop. It's an ideal spot for photography, especially at sunrise or sunset, and a perfect, cooler mountain escape for families and nature lovers. It's also a great base to view the nearby adventure activities.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families wanting a mountain outing that doesn't require serious hiking ability. The combination of a play area, viewing terraces, and accessible trail access suits mixed-age groups. Winter sunrise visits are the most rewarding β€” pack layers and a flask. Summer heat reduces the appeal significantly.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Pack warm layers, gloves, and a hat for winter visits β€” temperatures at 1,250m drop sharply
⏰Arrive at sunrise for the most dramatic views and cooler temperatures
🎟️EV charging stations are available at the top parking area

β€œIf u get to the top they have an area where u can find parking and charging station for electric cars, atm, and most importantly toilets for disabled people which is a big plus if you are considering taking ur loved ones who are less able. Entry fee is 7 Dhs per person. Place is very clean I went there before sunrise so it was not crowded at all and best time if u want quite su rise.i will have to go for sunset and then share with u all other than that great place to get away from building of the city.”

β€œThe first time we go for sunrise. If you go in winter (November - March) make sure you wear something warm, with hoodies or hat and probably gloves. Bring hot tea/coffee and enjoy it while the golden sky appears. The parking lot & entry is 7 dirham per-person. It's also a starting point for the hike.”

β€œJais Mountain is the perfect family-friendly adventure. The well-maintained trail offers a manageable climb with rewarding Rocky Mountain scenery at every turn. The highlight is a charming small park at a scenic viewpoint, complete with a kids' play area and a spacious viewing deck. It's the ideal spot to relax, let the children play, and capture those memorable, picture-perfect family photos against a stunning mountain backdrop.”
