1 / 3Yas South Skate Park
📍 Yas Island, Abu Dhabi
Free outdoor skatepark on Yas Island with two skating pools, multiple ramp heights for all skill levels, a gated skating area, adjacent children's playground, and grass picnic space. No food vendors on-site.
Cool place, good for the whole family as there is a skatepark, a grass area for picnics, a playground and a little sports area. 👍🏻 If you go in the morning, just know that the toilets do not open before 12pm.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families where at least one child skates and others want parallel activities — the gated skate zone, separate playground, and picnic lawn mean different-aged siblings can all be occupied simultaneously. The free entry and open-air setting make it the strongest no-cost outdoor activity on Yas Island for active families.

“As an inline skater, I like this skatepark way more than the one in Yas West. It has very nice pool with ramps inside it, and another plain pool, both with better and more enjoyable ramps and ramp height in comparison to the ones in Yas West which are very steep for an inliner flow.”

“The place is nice it has a skating area which is gated for safety, there is a small park to have a picnic, and a play area for kids who don’t want to skate. There is also a restroom. The place is nice overall but it would be even better if there were food trucks and a prayer area.”

Overview
Yas South Skate Park offers two distinct skating pools — one with varied ramps and one plain pool — both rated by inline and board skaters as better-designed than the Yas West alternative. The skating area is gated, separating active skaters from the adjacent playground and grass picnic lawn. Entry is free. There are no food vendors, so packing your own supplies is essential. Restrooms are on-site and open from midday — morning visitors should plan accordingly.
