1 / 2Crossroad of Civilizations Museum (CCM) متحف معبر الحضارات
📍 Al Shindagha - Al Fahidi, Dubai
Private museum complex in Al Shindagha housing artifacts, rare manuscripts, and an armory from Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori's personal collection. Three interconnected buildings cover trade routes linking Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Fantastic museum. The whole Shindaga museum complex is wonderful. Attentive staff, interesting, well curated displays and exhibits including multi media and interactive sections. The whole museum complex is large with nany differently themed pavilions. Unless you are a determined museum visitor, you may want to spread it over 2 days. But the entry fee is very reasonable, so multiple visits are not going to break the bank. Highly recommend!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for children aged 7 and up with an interest in history, trade routes, or world cultures. The breadth of the collection rewards curious older children and engaged parents equally. The Holocaust exhibit makes this one of the more globally aware museum experiences available in the UAE.

“Award winning private museum, the Crossroads of Civilizations Museum (CCM) opened its doors on January 27th, 2014. It houses the personal collection of historic artefacts, rare manuscripts, and the armory of Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori. CCM has now grown into a group of three museums: Crossroads of Civilizations Museum, Rare Books, Manuscripts & Prints Museum, and The Armory Museum. The two museums are located at a nearby heritage house a short, well signed distance from Crossroads of Civilizations Museum. The three museums are now referred to as The Museum Group. There is a separate ticket for the museum which allows entry into all three museum. It has a fairly large collection and should be a separate planned visit.”

“The Crossroads of Civilizations Museum, Dubai is a small but fascinating museum that highlights Dubai’s role as a historical link between Asia, Africa, and Europe. It features rare artefacts, manuscripts, trade items, and weapons, with a strong focus on cultural exchange and tolerance. Affordable, educational, and best for history lovers—though modest in size compared to major museums.”

“Highly recommend this museum for history lovers!! Only 25 AED per person and you get to explore 2 museums (3 buildings) with an extensive private collection of artifacts, old books/manuscripts, and weapons. Most descriptions have english translations (no audio guide/qr code scanning though) and are well written. Personal favorite galleries were the holocaust remembrance, palestine and the holy land, and pearl gallery. When we went there, it was a Sunday, there were only 2 other guests so it felt like a private visit which we really enjoyed. You are even encouraged to take photos. Overall, most of the museum was well curated (particularly for the regional treasures and interfaith pieces), informative, and surprising in the best way. Definitely worth the visit!! Also it was cold inside all the buildings so this is a great way to spend your time away from the heat and learn new things 😁”

Overview
The Crossroad of Civilizations Museum occupies a complex of traditional buildings in Al Shindagha and comprises three museums on a single entry ticket. The collection spans rare manuscripts, ancient trade artifacts, historical weaponry, and exhibits on pearls, cultural tolerance, and — unusually for the region — a section covering the Holocaust. Most displays carry English-language descriptions. Interactive and multimedia sections supplement the physical collection.
