I recently visited the Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival, and it was truly outstanding! The exhibition is beautifully curated, deeply inspiring, and rich in cultural meaning. Every installation feels unique, thoughtful, and exceptionally well presented.✨🖼️ A must-visit for anyone who appreciates art, culture, and beauty. Highly recommended!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for school-age children and culturally curious families who want free, air-conditioned exploration of Arab art without crowds. Toddlers can wander freely given the open floor plan. Verify opening hours before travelling from Dubai or Abu Dhabi — Ramadan schedules and temporary closures have caught visitors off guard.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Confirm opening hours directly with the museum before visiting, especially during Ramadan when schedules change
Combine with a visit to Al Hisn Fort next door — both sit in the Heart of Sharjah cultural district
🎟️The light-effect installation is on the upper floors — head there first before younger children tire

Really enjoyed seeing the wide variety of art and the amazing gallery. Great free exhibit and great spot to rest with an amazing a/c for a hot summer. Not a ton of other visitors and I had the whole museum to myself.
