The Green Planet Dubai
π Al Wasl, Dubai
Climate-controlled bio-dome in City Walk housing over 2,000 animals across a four-floor vertical rainforest. Free-roaming tropical birds, sloths, bats, lemurs, and armadillos. Hands-on animal encounters available.
I visited The Green Planet and I really loved it. It is an amazing tourist attraction. The place is very beautiful and full of nature. The view inside is so nice and relaxing, it feels like you are in a real rainforest. I learned many new things about animals and different kinds of birds. It gives you more knowledge and you can see the animals very close. The place is clean and nature-friendly. I really enjoyed my time there because I love nature. I highly recommend this place, not only for kids but for adults also. It is a great experience for everyone.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3 to 10 who want close-up wildlife encounters in a fully controlled, weather-proof environment. The hands-on animal sessions are the highlight for young children. Families expecting a large-scale zoo-style experience may find the footprint smaller than anticipated β it rewards curiosity over distance walking.

βAs a teacher, I visited The Green Planet with my students on an educational field trip, and it was a truly enriching experience. The facility is exceptionally well designed, clean, and safe, making it ideal for school visits. The indoor rainforest concept allows students to explore different ecosystems, plants, birds, reptiles, and insects up close in a controlled environment. Clear pathways, informative displays, and well-organized zones make learning engaging and easy to follow. We were assigned a guide who explained everything in a very clear, age-appropriate, and interactive way, which helped students understand biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability concepts effectively. A special highlight was the hands-on experience, including the opportunity for adults to touch a snake under supervision, which made the visit memorable and educational. Overall, The Green Planet offers excellent facilities for learning and exploration and is highly recommended for school field trips.β

βIt's better to buy tickets online to avoid the line at the ticket-office and to save money online. The building from the outside seems less than when you're inside. The idea of ββa vertical zoo around a tree is wonderful. It's great that you can touch all the animals and see their everyday lives. And the thunderstorm effect is fantastic!β

βThe Green Planet is a nice place to visit, especially if you enjoy nature and animals. It is very clean, well-maintained, and nicely designed, which makes the experience pleasant. However, for the price, we expected much more. It is quite small and doesnβt offer enough activities or variety to justify the ticket cost, especially for families. You can see everything fairly quickly. Overall, itβs a good place for a short visit and looks lovely, but it feels overpriced for what it offers. Better value or more interactive experiences would make it much more worthwhile.β

Overview
The Green Planet in City Walk encloses a four-floor vertical rainforest inside a single bio-dome, built around a central tree. Over 2,000 animals inhabit the space, with tropical birds, sloths, bats, and lemurs moving freely at visitor level. Hands-on encounters include armadillos, reptiles, and echidnas. A teacher visiting on a school trip described the facility as exceptionally well-designed, clean, and safe. Allow two hours for the full experience including animal encounters.
