1 / 5Al HAMRA CINEMA SHARJAH
📍 Hay Al Sharq - Al Nabba, Sharjah
Historic single-screen cinema showing mostly Indian movies with traditional theater atmosphere and affordable pricing.
Only single screen cinema left in the whole UAE. Must visit on FDFS to feel just like you are in India. Don't go to multiplex - support this historical place and enjoy the vibe on balcony. I love it <3
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A unique nostalgic cinema experience for families who appreciate traditional movie-going, though expect basic facilities.

“Completely overpriced for what is essentially serviced apartments with a solitary dining facility. The pictures made it look deceptively big where the hotel is actually very small. We were in a 2 bedroom suite on the 9th floor. Views were fantastic, rooms clean and great beds for a good nights sleep. The suite featured an open plan fitted kitchen area with microwave & sink and a seating area with 2 small sofas. The sofas were very uncomfortable with their springs digging into our posteriors each time we attempted to sit on them. The breakfast buffet choice was very limited and definitely not worth the Dhs 30 extra per person. They also keep your passports??!! Completely strange in this day and age. 'Sanjeev' (one of the shift managers) insisted on both mine and my wife's passport. I can't understand how or why such a rude man with no interpersonal skills is employed in a customer facing role.”

“One of the oldest theatre in the UAE, following the old trend. Only cash accepted, nearest ATM is inside the Lulu Hypermarket, just opposite to this theatre (take the subway). Plays mostly Indian movies, reasonable priced (AED 32 STD. ~ 38 balcony) with an average and decent movie environment. Children below age 4 go free. Free parking (kacha) on the backside and public parking at 2 AED per hour.”

“Bad experience The screen is not clear at all. They don't give value for money if all the seats are compliant and not clean. When it rains, water falls inside.”
