Al Safya Park is easily one of the best spots in the Majaz area for an evening out. Whether you live nearby or are just visiting Sharjah, it’s a good park to visit. The kids love the playground, plenty of swings and equipment to keep them busy for hours. The lawn is clean and well-maintained, perfect for just sitting down and relaxing. It does get a bit crowded in the evenings, but the atmosphere is so lively and family-friendly that it’s still worth the visit!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for Al Majaz families with mixed-age children wanting playground time alongside sports court access in one visit. Active older children gravitate to the football and basketball courts; younger children stay on the playground equipment. Evening visits between late afternoon and dusk deliver the best temperature and atmosphere.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Visit after late afternoon — metal playground equipment becomes uncomfortably hot during daylight hours
Arrive early on weekend evenings to secure parking before the space fills
🎟️The on-site cafeteria stocks ice cream and snacks — useful for extending visits without leaving the park

Really nice park, lots of space and football, volleyball and basket ball courts, the playground is also really nice but most of it is metal so after running around for a bit if you touch the metal you get nasty little shock every time. Very suitable to spend time with family, but its crowded, well maintained in spite of huge numbers of visitors, paid parking is very difficult to find even, more Fantastic place to visit for outdoor activities. Bicycles track and walking tracks with lots of nature and playgrounds available.

I’ve visited Al Safya Park twice with my family and my young child. The weather was great both times, and the park is very spacious with enough lighting at night — it never feels dark or unsafe. There are many activities suitable for both kids and adults, plus toilets and a small cafeteria inside the park. There’s also a small bakery right in front of the main gate, which makes the area well serviced overall. What I didn’t like is that many teenagers gather there at night and sometimes start fights. However, I do appreciate that there is always undercover police or security present, so the park still feels secure and controlled. The park is generally very clean and family-friendly, but it does get very crowded at night, especially when the weather is nice. I wish the toilets were cleaner and that there were clearer signs showing where the amenities are located. Overall, it’s a nice park for families, especially during good weather.

nice community park and a good place to relax or take a walk. It has plenty of green space and is suitable for families and groups. The park has a friendly neighborhood vibe, and it’s especially nice in the evening when the weather is cooler. It can get crowded at times and parking may be limited during peak hours, but overall it’s a solid place to spend some time outdoors
