The museum displays thousands of golden, bronze and iron pieces, discovered at the Saruq Al Hadid archaeological site in the Rub al Khali desert, south of the emirate of Dubai. The Arabian Peninsula’s Iron Age at the newly-opened museum in Dubai’s Historical District - a confluence of the past and the present. Location near Shindaga. Huge mature ficus tree in the courtyard adds to the ambience and shade. The work is immense and will probably take decades to unearth. β€œA small museum located in Al Shindagha, an old neighborhood of Dubai. Very small, with not many exhibits. The visit begins with the projection of a short film, from which you learn information about the archaeological site Saruq Al Hadid. You need about 30 minutes to visit it.”

Overview

Tucked into the old Shindagha district, this small museum packs in thousands of gold, bronze and iron pieces dug from the Saruq Al Hadid site out in the Rub al Khali desert. It's an hour, maybe less, but the guides genuinely take time to walk you through what you're looking at, which older, history-curious kids tend to appreciate. Prams get in fine, and you can fold it into a wider wander round the heritage area.
