1 / 5Sharjah Aquarium
π Al Khan, Sharjah
Compact two-floor aquarium near Al Khan waterfront featuring 20 tanks with nearly 100 species including sharks, stingrays, jellyfish and turtles. Entry ticket also covers the adjacent Maritime Museum.
I visited Sharjah Aquarium today with my family and had a lovely experience. Ticket prices are quite reasonable: 25 AED for adults (13+), 15 AED for children aged 2 to 13, and free entry for senior citizens along with one adult companion. An added bonus is that the same ticket can be used to visit the Boat Museum located in the same compound. The aquarium is a very nice place for kids, with interesting marine displays that keep them engaged. The area was lightly crowded, which made the visit comfortable and enjoyable. Free parking is available, which is very convenient for families. The toilets were very clean, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout our visit. Overall, itβs a well-maintained place and a good destination for a family outing with kids. Highly recommended for a relaxed and educational visit.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3β10 who want an uncrowded, educational marine experience at a fraction of the cost of larger aquariums. The two-floor layout is compact enough to hold toddler attention throughout. Families visiting from Dubai make the most of the day by combining it with the adjacent Maritime Museum on the same ticket.

βThe Sharjah Aquarium was a very pleasant surprise. It may be small, but it is beautifully designed, with different themed sections that make you feel immersed in the various marine habitats. The fish are well presented in environments that feel natural and engaging. Seeing sharks and turtles up close was definitely a highlight. The entrance fee is excellent value for money and even includes access to the Maritime Museum across the street, which makes the visit even more worthwhile. Overall, itβs an enjoyable, relaxed experience and absolutely worth a visit if youβre in Sharjah.β

The walk-through is comfortable and not too crowded. While the aquarium is not very large, it is enjoyable and educational. Overview
Sharjah Aquarium occupies two floors on the Al Khan waterfront, taking visitors through themed sections representing Arabian Gulf and Indian Ocean habitats. Twenty tanks display close to 100 species, with stingrays, turtles, jellyfish and reef sharks as headline exhibits. Clear walkways and manageable crowd levels make it comfortable for pushchairs. The ticket is valid for the Maritime Museum in the same compound β a separate building worth combining into the same visit.
