A really enjoyable and informative spot, especially if you’re into history and culture. The museum has detailed displays of traditional boats, their construction methods, and the role they played in the region’s maritime life. Everything is laid out clearly and compactly, so you can comfortably explore the entire place in under 30 minutes without feeling rushed. Definitely worth a visit, especially since it perfectly complements the aquarium next door.

Best for families with children aged 5 and up who want a focused, short cultural experience without museum fatigue. The boat displays and pearl diving story hold children's attention well. Pair with the Sharjah Aquarium β€” combo tickets are available β€” to build a two-hour heritage and marine outing from a single visit.

β€œIt’s a small but nice museum. We saw old boats, tools, and maps used by fishermen and pearl divers. The displays are easy to understand and there is information in both Arabic and English. It was peaceful and good for a short visit with kids. My son really enjoyed it. Sharjah Maritime Museum and aquarium have combo ticket. Good value and worth visiting if you are in Sharjah.”

β€œA very enriching and informative experience! The place is filled with beautifully preserved big and small boats that showcase how the people of early Sharjah and the UAE lived. Their livelihood heavily relied on fishing and pearl hunting, and the museum explains their way of life in a clear and engaging way. Ticket entrance is included when you buy the ticket from aquarium museum. * there is also free WiFi* πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ŒπŸ˜€ββββ I learned so much about the historyβ€”the struggles of fishermen, the traditional methods used to build boats, the materials they relied on, and the different types of vessels used in the past. The museum also highlights their activities throughout the fishing seasons and even how they adapted during times of war. Overall, it’s a great place to understand the maritime heritage of the UAE. A must-visit if you love history and culture!”
